Curse of the Bone Pirates

January 7, 2009

As parents, we know how important reading is for all facets of a child’s cognitive, social, and emotional benefit.  You could probably walk into any one of our homes and find a small library.  One of the best ways to open up discussion about a topic is through a book.  Environmental awareness and preservation are prominent in our country, but these concepts are complex and often difficult to explain to young children.

bone-pirates

Nui, the creators of healthy nutrient-rich hybrid beverages and foods, introduced their first book in a new category entitled eco-fiction.   Curse of the Bone Pirates: Nui Island Eco-logical Adventures, the first of the Nui Island Eco-logical Adventure Series, teaches children about the threats to our environment and serves to educate and encourages them to take action at home, at school and in their neighborhood.

From the site:

An evil force is destroying the natural wonders of Nui Island, and it’s up to three new friends to solve the mystery. When Big B is dragged from his comfortable life and close friends in Chicago by his grandfather’s mysterious affliction, he’s sure he’s going to have the worst summer ever. But soon after arriving in the tropical paradise of Nui Island, he is caught in a web of danger and intrigue. The Maemae reef is dying, his grandfather’s brilliant mind has been infected and creepy Island legends are coming to life. Big B and his new friends, Sam and Nalu, rely on wit, courage and strength to unravel Nui’s ancient mysteries. What they uncover will help them save the Island, restore his grandfather’s soul, and break the curse of the Bone Pirates. With a captivating plot, fascinating characters and an important ecological message, Curse of the Bone Pirates: Nui Island Eco-Logical Adventures will haunt and delight young readers.

Several of our members had the opportunity of reviewing this book with their children.  Here is what they had to say:

All Because Two People Fell In Love:  Being a teacher this is just the type of book I like to introduce to my students, a book with meaning and purpose! This book really encourages the reader to use their imagination but at the same time it teaches them about the basic and important issues that are threatening our environment today. It sends out the message that empowered kids can make a better world through their team-work, energy, and grand ideas!

3 P’s In a Pod:  The entire book is entertaining - start to finish. It is what one might call a real page turner and I say that in the best sense.

Brain Foggles:  This is the type of book that can keep a child’s attention while teaching them important lessons that are needed for a lifetime.  This action packed book serves a dual purpose, to entertain tweens and teens and to teach how to save the environment.

Busy Mommy Product Review:  It is a really fun children’s book that goes a long way towards teaching kids about the threats to our environment and getting them to take action at home, at school and in their neighborhood.

Chocolate Fingerprints:  Though it’s inteded for kids, this book was interesting and exciting enough to hold my interest all the way through.  One of the things I liked best about Curse of the Bone Pirates was the lessons it teaches, in a very subtle way.

Free Birthday Treats Blog:  (from a teen’s perspective)  The story includes true environment facts. Like how not all bacterias are bad! There are some bacteria that are actually really good, and they battle the bad bacteria. Not to mention that bacteria is the oldest living life form on Earth. I did not know that. Radical, right?

From Melissa’s Desk:  We are always looking for a good clean kid-friendly books that we can read aloud. And this book did not disappoint. It’s definitely a great juvenile chapter book that will appeal to both boys and girls.

Loving Heart Mommy:  This book is an adventure from the get go, I couldn’t put it down!  This adventure is not only for boys and girls, I believe there is something in this book for everyone, including adults! Its packed full of eco-logical fun promoting a fun way to get you and your children interested in the environment around them!

Mama Sparkles:  I loved the important messages about the environment and conservation that made their way into the book and how they were a natural part of the overall story.

Maria’s Space:  This is a great book that takes a child’s love of adventure and teams it up with the science of going green, and healthy earth. This is a great, story that will keep children reading while educating them.

Mom Giveaways:  Curse of the Bone Pirates: Nui Island Eco-Logical Adventures is a book any kid, especially boys, between the ages of 9 and 12 will love.

Mom of 2 Dancers:  The book is full of adventure, heroes and of course villains. What makes this book even better though … Woven into the plot are lessons on conservation, environmentalism and healthy eating.

Mommy Mandy:  I had one of my friends little boys who is 10 read this book, and tell me his thoughts. He loved it and begged to keep it.

My Trendy Tykes:  …after about the 2nd chapter SHE WAS HOOKED and to be honest SO WAS I!  Not only will they be unfolding a great new adventure but there is also special ecological messages throughout the entire book.

Pajama Mom:  …your child will realize that small things can make a big difference.  Kids also need to feel powerful and take ownership, this book is a great step in that direction.

The Power of Housewife Word of Mouth:  It had such a great combination of intrigue, a little supernatural, throw in a bit of teen angst, and some interesting eco-friendly information, and you have the makings for a great book. If you are looking for a great read for yourself or a way to excite tween/teen readers about mysteries and environmental education then this series will deliver. If you are looking for a fun adventurous read….then it will not disappoint.

Redlady’s Reading Room:  This children’s book takes an adventure story and turns it into a learning experience. It teaches them about the threats to our environment and encourages them to take action at home, at school and in their neighborhoods.

Red Sox Mommy:  Is your child interested in adventure, fun, excitement, pirate curses and more? If so, he or she is sure to love Curse of the Bone Pirates, a Nui Island Eco-Logical Adventure. This has all the features of a hit movie packed into a book that will keep your child interested and begging to stay up late to keep reading.

Rockin’ Mama:  You and your child will be riveted by the plot, fascinated by the author’s creative character development, and inspired by the ecological lessons intertwined throughout the story.

She Scribes:  I have to say, even though this is a children’s book, it held my interest from beginning to end. I will even go so far as to say it’s a true “page turner”. My daughter agrees. She read the book in two days because she just had to finish it to see how it ends.

Sheltered Not Shattered:  This was a very interesting book for me to read. It teaches about eco-friendly living and is also an adventure. The book is well written and would keep any child, especially boys, enthralled.

Tara’s View of the World:  This is a delightful fantasy filled book. I enjoyed reading it and I’m sure the young readers in your life will love it too. I found the book easy to read and the adventures kept me entertained and engaged throughout. I appreciated how the author wove important ecological lessons into the story without sounding preachy.

The Way I See It:  I love that the story teaches a bit of the Spanish and Polynesian languages. It’s also chock full of technical terms having to do with ecology and the environment. Without children realizing it, they have role models who are excellent at math, who want to “save the planet”, and who have an incredibly optimistic outlook on life.

SC Johnson Pledge

December 30, 2008

When I was growing up, Pledge was a household name. I remember my mom using it to dust everything in our home and now just the hint of that familiar lemon scent brings be back to happy times.

From the site: “Pledge Natural Beauty is ideal for quickly cleaning your wood furniture and wood surfaces. Its Anti-Dust™ formula keeps surfaces looking less dusty, longer. It removes dust, dirt, smudges, and common allergens like pet dander found in dust from your wood furniture in a flash. Plus, it protects against water damage and stains. Dusting with Pledge leaves surfaces with no waxy buildup.”

We had the opportunity to review Pledge and it’s still just as effective as it always was. It sprays on easily and wipes right off without leaving a waxy residue. It definitely left our piano looking great! However, new and improved Pledge now also removes 84% of allergens found in dust that can be harmful to your health and wreck havoc on those that suffer from allergies. And did you know that Pledge works great on vinyl and leather, too?

If you haven’t used Pledge in a while, now’s the time to reintroduce it into your household. You can get your $1 off coupon right here!

The members of FRN had the opportunity to review Pledge and to also give a can away to one of their lucky readers. Stop by their blogs to see what they had to say and to enter their giveaways!

3 P’s Mama Says: While Pledge is not a miracle worker, it made a world of difference with just one cleaning! I know that I always feel better when my house looks and smells clean and Pledge provides both without much effort on my part. (deadline to enter: Jan 4)

All Because Two People Fell in Love: We have always trusted Pledge to condition, shine, and refresh surfaces in our home. We now trust Pledge to help remove household allergens. Using Pledge helps to keep our house cleaner and our family healthier by protesting us against the triggers of pesky allergy symptoms while making our house look great! Pledge is a product that we will continue to use in our home and highly recommend to all!

Amanda: I do not have that much wood furniture in our home, weird I know so I decided to take the can with me to my in laws when Hubby and I cleaned the house. I used the new Anti-Dust formula on their wood. They have A LOT of wood. Not only was I impressed with how nice the furniture looked but my mother in law called me when she got home and asked me what I used on the wood. I just replied “Pledge.” (deadline to enter: Jan 7)

A Wrestling Addicted Mommy’s Blog: Pledge Anti-Dust Formula not only keeps your wood surfaces looking great, but it keeps them dust free longer than other anti-dust products which means less work for you when it comes to cleaning. (deadline to enter: Jan 2)

Brain Foggles: I’ve used Pledge to help me with dusting for a very long time. But I’ve learned something new about Pledge Natural Beauty Furniture Polish that I never knew before. It has something that is needed in my home and maybe needed in yours too - Allergen Trappers.

Deuce’s World: Ewh, and have you ever bought cheap-o furniture dust cleaner and sprayed it on and then went to wipe it off and the dust like rolls up? Or smears all over… ewh… I’ll never use dollar store dust stuff again. Pledge doesn’t do that, it cleans so easily and wipes off sooooo easily!

Forgetfulone: I remember using Pledge to dust the bookcases and coffee and end tables when I was a little girl. Pledge is still around, all these years later, and it’s better than ever. And with Christmas just behind us, my bottle of Pledge is coming in very handy! (deadline to enter: Dec 30)

From Melissa’s Desk: I’m actually a long-time user of Pledge. So, when I received a bottle to review, I knew it would do the job, and do it right. I adore Pledge, and I think you will too. (deadline to enter: Jan 9)

Homeschooling and Loving It: I have used Pledge since I was a little girl dusting with my mom!  It is truly the best dusting product I have ever used.  Just spray it on and wipe away and your furniture becomes dust free!  They even have different fragrants now so you can spray with a great scent that you love!

Is It Naptime Yet?: We have used other cleaners on our furniture and Pledge works 100 times better than anything we have ever used.  I really love the way it makes my furniture look while removing dust and smudges.  Wood starts to fade and get a dingy look and Pledge always seems to boost the color, give it some shine … looking brand new, or kinda like it was never around children! (deadline to enter: ?)

Loving Heart Mommy: I can’t stand dust, it makes me sneeze, it doesn’t look good on your furniture. Who else can’t stand it? Want a solution? Pledge’s Anti-Dust Formula , keeps wood surfaces looking shiny and also keeps them free of dust longer than most anti-dust products! (deadline to enter: Jan 5)

Maria’s Space: My family has been using Pledge since I was a child. I always loved the smell and as an adult I have tried other products but I always go back to Pledge.

Mom Giveaways: This stuff works great.  Not only does it do a great job at cleaning my furniture but it also removes 84% of allergens found in dust.

Mom of 2 Dancers: Did you know that the classic yellow can Pledge Natural Beauty removes up to 84% of allergens from dust mites and pet dander that is in dust? I never realized that, and I’m glad to learn that fact. Makes me take dusting often more seriously since I suffer allergies & my girls suffer allergies & asthma. (deadline to enter: Jan 6)

Mommy Blog Reviews: I love the lemon scent and have used it multiple times since receiving the can. I mean, I’m willing to write an entire review for a can of Pledge I can afford easily even though my husband got laid off two weeks ago…that should say something about the state of my economy and how much I liked the Pledge.

Mommy Musings: Since receiving my can of Pledge Natural Beauty, I have been using it to clean and polish our wood dining room table. I can honestly say, even after the first use, it has NEVER looked shinier. I have no clue why I haven’t purchased furniture polish before, it really does bring out the shine. The consistency is not waxy, and didn’t leave any buildup on the wood. (deadline to enter: Jan 2)

MomReviews: Even though there are store brands that are cheaper, I always buy Pledge furniture polish and dusting spray. It’s what my Mom always bought, and to me, the Lemon scent of it means the wood furniture is clean. (deadline to enter: Jan 5)

My Trendy Tykes: I love the lemony scent and the fact that I can spray, wipe and not have to worry about that yucky wax build-up.

NerdFamily Things: Normally I am super cheap when it comes to cleaning but I do love using Pledge. Why? I am an asthmatic and have horrible allergies. So if I dry dust I sneeze and get sick. If I don’t dust, I sneeze and get sick. Pledge combats both of these situations. In addition it also moisturizes my wood (so it looks richer) and actually repels dust. So what else could a woman want? (deadline to enter: Jan 10)

Our Seven Qtpies: I have a lot of wood in my house! My house is almost entirely wood floors, and wood furniture is such a natural accessory to that. But dust is also a natural accessory to wood floors and furniture. I am allergic to dust mites, so I have a thing for getting rid of dust. Even though there is no waxy build-up from Pledge, it still manages to help protect against water spills. stains and every day wear. I love the shine it leaves behind, and the fresh lemon scent. (deadline to enter: Jan 5)

Photo Bug Baby: I had always believed that Pledge was ONLY for wood. To my surprise it can also be used to add a great clean shine to Stainless Steel, Leather, Marble and Granite. Pledge doesn’t leave a grimy build up like some other cleaners can. My mother and grandmother both used Pledge and I can now see why. (deadline to enter: Jan 5)

Pink Family Reviews: I hate to dust. I was never very good at keeping up with it. I was happy to try out Pledge in the hopes that it would help my things look less dusty longer. I used it a week ago today. Then, I dusted again today. I have to say, things definitely did not look as dusty as they had the previous week. I like that it protects my furniture without buildup. We have 2 cats and a dog too and I love that it removes common allergens.

Robyn’s Online World: The thing about the dust is that Hubby has always had allergies and I know I have to try better to keep that dust at bay. When asked to review Pledge’s Anti-Dust Formula I had to give it a try. I mean it says Anti-Dust right in the name and if anyone is Anti-Dust it is me because I am certainly not Pro-Dust!

Rockin’ Mama: The fresh lemon scent is all too familiar and it is just as effective as it was 15+ years ago.  It’s super easy to use…simply spray it on and wipe the dust away!  It leaves your surfaces shiny, smooth and dust-free.  I like that I don’t have to worry about inhaling flying dust when I wipe off dusty surfaces. (deadline to enter: Jan 12)

Sage and Savvy: I’ve used Pledge before, but I haven’t used it in a while because the rare times that I do dust, I usually use one of those popular disposable dusters. When I received my can of Pledge, I immediately used it on our dusty wooden entertainment center. Once I sprayed on some Pledge and wiped all the dust away, it looked like new. It made me feel quite embarrassed after I realized how dusty I left it whenever we had company.

SAHM Reviews: Although the can may have changed all these years later, the quality of the product still holds true.  When Pledge is applied to a piece of furniture, you can have confidence that it won’t have dust sticking to it the next day.  It left a beautiful finish when I used it twenty-some years ago… and it still does. (deadline to enter: Jan 8)

Sheltered Not Shattered: This is my Pledge and I LOVE it. I have used Pledge for years and wouldn’t change if you paid me. I’ve tried the other stuff but I like Pledge. It leaves a nice shine behind without a greasy feel to the furniture. I also love that it comes in a nice citrus smell. (deadline to enter: Dec 31)

She Scribes: One of the products I grew up with is Pledge. My mom always used Pledge Furniture Polish. I grew up on that sweet lemon smell. Today I still use Pledge because if my mom trusted it then so should I. (deadline to enter: Dec 31)

Tara’s View of the World: I found Pledge Natural Beauty Furniture Polish to be very handy in cleaning up for the holiday festivities. We have asthmatics in our household and Pledge is an excellent product for reducing dust and allergens. Pledge has been around for a long time for a reason… it works! (deadline to enter: Jan 12)

The Clan McLeod: Pledge is also easy to use and actually turns out to be just as quick as those fabric dusters! And, when using Pledge, you can be sure that the dust gets trapped since it doesn’t go flying around when you wipe over it! (deadline to enter: Dec 30)

The Dirty Shirt: I recently received a can of Pledge to try out and I must say I still after these years it’s still the best and that lemony scent bring back so many childhood memories. And it still does the great job it has always done. And with it’s Anti-Dust formula it removes up to 84% of allergens from dust mites and pet dander found in dust. (deadline to enter: Jan 1)

The Mom Buzz: It seems like Pledge should be a staple cleaning supply in every household. How else would you clean a wooden surface, plus give it a nice glossy shine? I know there are other products out there that serve a similar purpose, but if we ever go that route we always return to Pledge. Mostly because I like that there is no residue left behind after cleaning. Other products leave a build-up that attracts even more dust!

The Power of Housewife Word of Mouth: Thanks to Pledge the cleaning was a snap. I have a lot of antique furniture in the house and I now have a beautiful glossy shine everywhere for the candlelight and Christmas lights to reflect off of the wood. (deadline to enter: Dec 30)

Val’s Views: You’ve probably heard of Pledge. It’s been around forever. There’s a reason for that. It works. Pledge not only shines and restores dull, dry wood surfaces but it helps protect them from water marks. It’s also good for your health, because it removes the majority of allergens ( a whopping 84% of them) found in the dust and pet dander.

A Month of Meals eBook Giveaway

December 28, 2008

Have you ever been frustrated over what to make for dinner?

Are you tired of hearing your family say,

“Not again, we had that last week!”

ebook_3d_min

I think we all know that planning meals ahead saves time and money. It saves time because we need not think about what to make for dinner or if we have the necessary ingredients. It saves money because we haveaplan which means no last minute trips to the market or the nearest fast food drive thru. Most importantly, planning our meals ahead will help us improve our family’s health. If we’re eating well balanced meals, we’ll feel better and have more energy.

This is what Jaime Ussher’s e-Book, A Month of Meals, is all about.

Jaime’s introduction: Does your family meal time always seem to be in chaos? What about the hassle of planning meals, shopping for the meals and then cooking the meal? Or how about your grocery bill – do you end up spending more than you wanted every month? If you’re at all like me, a working wife and mother, meal time can be a stressful and time consuming endeavor. And, if getting the meal on the table for a descent price isn’t enough, there is the health issue that factors in. Attempting to provide healthy meals that won’t empty the pocketbook can be difficult to find! Beyond that, personally, I felt that I was missing out on time with my family. For those of you with older children, I wonder if the stress of rushing home from work, connecting with kids, running errands or doing schoolwork, getting a quick meal (sometimes at home) and heading off to bed just feels like too much! If you can relate withhow I was feeling, you may feel defeated in the grocery shopping/meal planning area! You’re tired of not having a plan and settling for fast food or order-in pizza. There is hope! There is an alternative! I want to invite you to start eating healthier, as a family, withinexpensivemeals! Is this possible? Yes! I am here to tell you that it is! Keep reading to find helpful information and a breakdown of meals, recipes, and shopping lists to help you save time, money, and health!

In a Month of Meals, Jaime has already done all time consuming planning for us. She’s planned well balanced nutritious meals for a month. She provides all the recipes, the shopping list and even the average prices for all the items on the list. Okay, so take a moment to figure out exactly how much time Jaime has saved you. I loathe going to the market (keep in mind, I loathe any type of shopping) because I’ve spend as many as three hours walking the aisles. I’m not exaggerating!

“A Month of Meals” has it all. Everything I need. I’m saving time and money and I simply cannot ask for anything more!

A month of Meals  is available for purchase for only $19.95 and it comes with an 8 week money back guarantee.

This is what our members have to say:

A Mama’s Rant: I was impressed with how A Month of Meals was different from other once a month cooking type meal plans. First, Jaime shows you how eating healthy meals is actually cheaper by analyzing costs and taking into account where you live, and if you can buy local and seasonal produce. Then she goes to cover the weekly meal plan recipes, including sides and dessert, and grocery staples. This is followed by the section on how to shop and analyze what you’re spending on meals. The cost analysis portion was very well done and worth doing on any meal you make from scratch. You’d be amazed how truly inexpensive it is to cook simple, healthful meals.

The Home Schooled Year: Are you looking for a way to get a handle on your grocery budget (who isn’t?), an easy to follow meal plan WITH recipe cards, and a new way to break down what nutrients your family needs on a daily basis? A Month of Meals provides a great jumping off point for all of that! The recipes were easy to follow, easy to prepare, and mixed and matched ingredients so you don’t end up with 100 different items on your shopping list, or going bad in your fridge.

Mom of 2 Dancers: This ebook, is a huge 71 pages with11 chapters! It is full to the brim with information, tips, meal ideas, recipes, how to shop with price breakdowns, staples to keep in the house, food pyramid, info on feeding the hungry, website resources and recipe cards. This book is amazing. Not only will you save money on your groceries by implementing these ideas, you will also be eating healthy. You can’t go wrong with that combo.

An Island Review: One of our family’s favorite recipes was the Vegetable Chowder. I make a mean Corn Chowder myself but I liked the idea of adding in other vegetables, too. It’s a great way to get my girls to eat healthy without even realizing it. However, for me the best part were the reciepes that I could make ahead of time and freeze. Since I’m not always home and DH does not cook, these came in really handy. All he had to do was defrost and heat. Easy! Plus, this way I know my girls are getting a good home cooked meal in the process.

Loving Heart Mommy: You can save, you can be flexible, and best yet you can have fun. I really enjoyed reading A Month of Meals and applying it to my family. We are actually spending less, making more meals, and just re-heating alot of them later on! It saves us time and money! A Monthof Meals is very informative and fun!

Pink Family Reviews: I really enjoyed this ebook. I am a huge fan of meal planning. I also do not like to feed my family the same thing over and over. As a result, some times the hardest part of cooking is figuring out what to make. “A Month of Meals” takes all the guess work out of that for me. The shopping lists even make grocery shopping easier. I work full time outside the home, so I like recipes that are easy and quick. The recipes in “A Month of Meals” fulfill these requirements and taste good. Some recipes can even be made ahead and frozen.

My Trendy Tykes: I have a few friends that spend an entire day cooking meals for the whole month. I just don’t have the time to devote to an entire month like that right now but I did manage to snag some great new recipes for my family this month and ideas for plenty next month. Most of the recipes only call for a few ingredients and I loved the fact that they didn’t need any fancy “schmancy” ingredients (I tend to skip recipes like that, don’t you??)

Lisa Reviews: If you are a busy mom like me, you tend to struggle come dinner time.  I know I do.  If you don’t plan ahead, you never seem to have the right ingredients and you end up ordering out (which costs so much more!).  The Month of Meals e-book has some awesome advice to get yourself out of that rut.  This book will help you stay home every night and not spend over $200 in groceries on dinner.

Campaign Wrap-Up: DirtTamer

December 22, 2008

As we wrap up our mega-cleaning reviews, sponsored by Weiman, Libman, and Filterstream, remember that there is still time to enter our giveaway for a $100 cleaning package!  A few of our bloggers had the opportunity to test out the very powerful DirtTamer, courtesy of Filterstream.   This is by far the most powerful hand vacuum I have ever used and our bloggers were in agreement!  Not only does it pick up toddler crumbs and pet hair, it cleans up spilled milk (and other wet messes).

Here is a little more about the DirtTamer from the site:

This superior cordless hand vacuum offers a great combination of impressive suction power, features and value. With only 6 volts of power, this precision-engineered model surpasses most competitors with much higher voltage (over 70% more suction than anything in its class!).

With our revolutionary, patented 3-stage HEPA filtration system (one HEPA filter included), this vacuum captures 99.97% of dust, pollen, bacteria and other allergens down to 0.3 microns in size.

The V2210 also includes such handy features as a dirt finding headlight, charge & low battery indicators, a wall mountable charging base & 3 cleaning tools (patented extendable cleaning wand/crevice tool, squeegee & upholstery brush). The V2210 includes one HEPA filter and one washable/reusable foam filter.

So…what did our bloggers think?

All Because Two People Fell In Love:  Compared to the hand vac we are using now The DirtTamer has twice as much suction. So, I decided to tackle the stairs with The DirtTamer. The DirtTamer picked ALL the dirt in a fraction of the time it took me to do it by hand. It actually worked so quick that my back didn’t have time to start hurting!!

Amanda: So I had to try it out vacuuming up a wet mess, and surprisingly it really cleaned it up!  I can definitely see myself using this for my stairs, for the car, and any place I need to use a smaller vacuum.

An Island Review:  We tried it on a water spill and it actually sucked up the water into it’s chamber. All I had to do was empty it out and leave the unit to dry. I will be using it to clean the stairs and any other mess where a regular vacuum cleaner is too much.

Just a Mom’s Take On Things:  The DirtTamer is so very simple to use and convenient to grab whenever something is spilled or dropped. My kitchen floor hasn’t been this clean in well – ever, I think.

Mom Giveaways:  It picked up dirt, dust, and liquid!  With 2 little kids and a dog there were plenty of spills and spots to try the DirtTamer on.  What surprised me the most about the DirtTamer was it’s power.

Mom Reviews: When I found out I was getting the DirtTamer to review, I was honestly thrilled, because well, I have three kids, a cat, and a dog, which means I have a lot of messes to clean up around here.

Red Sox Mommy:  What I love most about it is that now I can quickly and easily clean up after my 16 month old after meals. And when I’m done cleaning up after her I can hook on one of the attachments and get cleaning the corners and creases and places that are hard to reach with my regular vacuum.

Rockin’ Mama:  One of the things I really like about the DirtTamer is the dirt finding headlight!  I realized that I had been missing a lot of corners.  I also found that it works much better than the attachment on my “big” vacuum.

Summer’s Nook:  I love it! Definitely the best hand vac I’ve tried by far. I really like the little light on the head of the vacuum so I can better see what I’m trying to suck up.

Tara’s View of the World:   I have used it every day since it arrived at my home… it vacuums up cheerios, crackers crushed into carpets, wet cat food, scrambled eggs, dirt, flour, sugar… everything that gets spilled on my floors on a VERY regular basis! I LOVE that it is cordless. I LOVE that it comes with a super handy charging base that my dear husband mounted on the wall for me.

The Way I See It:  This is an incredible little vacuum that is cordless, lightweight and powerful. It’s even equipped with a headlight! I’ve only had it for 24 hours and I already know it will vacuum up coins, soda can pop tops, fresh pine needles, everything found on the kitchen floor after the grand kids leave and everything imaginable in the crevices of the stairs.

What’s That Smell:  The FilterStream DirtTamer Cordless Hand Vacuum claims to be “the most powerful in its class” and in my experience this is 100% accurate. It claims to be “revolutionary” with “up to 200% more suction power than ordinary hand vacs” and it sure has me convinced.

A Wrestling Addicted Mommy:  The DirtTamer Supreme V2400 picks up both those dry and wet messes, I think that’s one of the things that I just love about it. Not only does it pick up those crumbs of goldfish crackers but it also can pick up that mess of spilled milk!
